About Weborama, Our Work and our Clients

Weborama has been going in its current form since 1999. Before that, the senior partners, David and Amanda Campbell, operated a publishing and communications consultancy before changing our name to Weborama to better reflect our then newfound emphasis on the Internet. Our original business, Campbell Communications, was first formed in 1989 and serviced clients such as Mitsubishi, Mobil Oil, Michelin, Rover Group, the Institute for the Management of Information Systems (IMIS), For The Bride Magazine, Milk Marque (Home & Life Magazine), Garrick (City Player Magazine), The RAC MSA, Race & Rally Magazine, Touring Car Racing Magazine, Promocourse (Paris), Tokyo Eizo and many more smaller businesses and projects.

Examples of our work

Arberry Pink
Arberry Pink is the leading specialist publisher of diversity magazines for students and graduates. The challenge for Weborama was to expand Arberry's six brands online with a range of information web sites that were both compelling and easy to manage, while complementing the existing titles. We've been working with Arberry Pink now for almost two years on an ongoing basis, building sites across the product range, and advising on future opportunities for additional revenue streams. This will include online streaming video presentations from leading employers in the near future. To see live examples of our work for this innovative publisher see the links below.

Gregory & Clifford
Interior decorating and design company Gregory and Clifford required a simple but high-quality web site that should reflect the firm's own high standards of work. Weborama was comissioned not only to build the site, but also to design a new logo for the partnership and new printed promotional materials. Photography was supplied by Gregory & Clifford's own photographer, but the images were cropped and resized by Weborama for the new site design, and an easily updated photo gallery created. The site is small, but elegant and effective, designed to convey a sense of understated style and quality, without resorting to over-the-top flash techniques so that information is quickly and easily delivered.

Lynplan
Tailored furniture covers and re-upholstery expert Lynplan required a web site that expressed a quality service compared to cheaper rivals. This system features a robust Content Management System so staff can update the site themselves, and a postcode search system which works out which services are available in the site visitor's area. A dynamic enquiry form changes according to the customer's location and service of interest, with all sales leads going directly to Lynplan via email. Other web sites for the same customer include Furnifix, an e-commerce site selling furniture parts to the trade, and LifeStyle Covers, an online e-commerce system selling loose covers and offering fabric samples for customers requiring fitted loose covers for their furniture.

Dancesport International
The DSI Group specialises in the retail of shoes, clothing, books, videos and accessories for dance enthusiasts globally. Originally, the company sold almost all its products by mail order catalogue, but Weborama developed their first e-commerce web site for the company in 1999. Since then, the web site has been redeveloped twice, and is about to undergo a redesign and rebuild to incorporate even more features including video presentations of its products. Currently, the site incorporates an extensive catalogue online, and all aspects of the site are managed by company staff through the site's web-based administration system. In addition to the robust shopping cart and electronic ordering system, the site has many additional features including membership discounts, order tracking and microsites for special customer groups such as schools and universities.
