Google moves closer to Pay-Per-Action
Great news for small businesses who use Google adwords to promote their web sites: Google is expanding it’s Pay-Per-Action (PPA) advertising system. Unlike the traditional Pay-Per-Click (PPC) model, advertisers only pay Google when a site visitor completes a pre-defined action, such as making a purchase or enquiry. Advertisers therefore only pay when they actually get a result. The new model is only in beta testing at the moment. PPA ads only show on “Adsense for Content” partner sites (not on the Google search engine itself), and the system is only available to advertisers who currently average more than 500 click-through conversions in the last 28 days.
